Christmas pics!

On Christmas Eve, Katelyn opened one present. Every princess needs a castle!

She was so excited for Christmas morning, but thankfully, she let us sleep until 7:30. Then it was downstairs to see our stockings! Here's Katelyn in her snowman hat with her flute recorder. Now instead of hearing squealing from a broken straw (which is what she's been using as a flute), we get to hear even louder squealing from a real flute!

A "rope jump!" Much better than the vacuum cord or any random piece of string she finds.

Katelyn and Daddy are ready to open presents!

So is Copper!

And Ali!

Katelyn opens her train set on her new train table.

Katelyn's present from her cousin Julia. She wore it all day!

She opened more presents, and more presents, and more presents...

It's all just so overwhelming! "Can we play trains?" she asked.

So we took a break to play trains.

After trains and breakfast, we were ready for round two!

And then we went to Mike and Lana's for round three!

And here are this year's "Katelyn gifts!" She picked out all of these presents all by herself with no help or prompting from us. She put a lot of thought into these gifts!

Michael and Cody got a wastebasket and a mixing bowl. (Which is better than last year's roll of toilet paper and toilet scrub brush - we didn't let her go down the cleaning aisle this time)

Linda got sand toys - so useful!

Melissa got a plastic pear, it will go perfectly with her decor!

Clark got a Playdoh shape-maker. Who doesn't love Playdoh?

Lana got a "Diva" mirror, hehe!

And Mike got pink clapping hands - to clap for his diva wife, of course!
Other presents not shown - bubbles for Gabe, and a plastic lemon for Noël. Mommy got a bumblebee picture frame, and Daddy got a pack of highlighters. Who could ask for anything more? Such thoughtful gifts, Katelyn!

Hope everyone's Christmas was as perfect as ours - filled with family, fun, and great friends!

Merry belated Christmas! Looks like you guys all had a great time! And Joy, it looks like you've been knitting again! :-P

Our Christmas was also filled with friends, fun, and family. On Christmas Eve our dear friends (Valerie and Evan) came over for the day and we played games, music and watched Christmas movies together! On Christmas day we spent a quiet, happy day just chilling out together, watching a new DVD and putting together FIVE puzzles! (also a Christmas gift) Gee, I forgot how much I like those things! :-)
