Ready Or Not!

Katelyn's first dance class was on Wednesday.  She was SO excited, especially after seeing Beauty and the Beast!  We had been counting down the days, literally - with a calendar and everything.  Wednesday finally came, and this is what I found:

Katelyn, dressed and ready to go.  Dance bag slung over her shoulder with her new ballet shoes and a picture she'd drawn for her teacher.

1/2 hour early!

We have a no-shoes-in-the-house rule, so Katelyn knows she has to stay on the tile with her shoes on.  And stay on the tile she did, the entire 30 minutes until it was time to go!

And we still got there early.  Katelyn met her teacher (who loved the picture, by the way), made new friends, and danced the day away.  Her smile lasted the rest of the day!

On a side note, I'm really pleased that Katelyn inherited the "always-early" gene from me instead of the "always-so-late-that-my-wife-wanted-to-print-me-my-own-wedding-invitation-with-an-earlier-start-time" gene from her dad.  It has taken me 12+ years to get him to the "more-on-time-than-not-but-still-hardly-ever-early" phase.
