Day at the Museum

Kenny's parents are visiting, so we spent the day Friday at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

First stop - dinosaurs!  (Formerly known in this house as "dinoceros")

Katelyn was amazed!

After the dinosaurs, we went to see the Body Worlds exhibit.  Photography was not allowed, but take my word for it - it was amazing!  Go see it!  Now!

After Body Worlds, we went to the kids Discovery Zone.

Where Katelyn and Goppy had lots of fun.

Then we were off to Space Odyssey, where Katelyn got to fly a space shuttle!

 She's a pretty good pilot.

 Then she walked on the moon and collected some moon rocks.

 And put on a puppet show.  (Isn't that what you do on the moon?)

 Me: "Katelyn, look at all that gold!"
Katelyn: "No, that's pirate."
Me: "Do you mean pyrite?"
Katelyn: "Yeah, pirate."


Then we talked about the difference between gold and pyrite.  She's definitely the daughter of two geologists!


And thanks to Grandma and Goppy, we now have a membership and can go back whenever we want!!!
